Love is looking back on a life filled with love, respect and hope...

Happiness is....

To feel good inside, enjoying life

counting all your blessings, be open for coziness.

A picture, a flower, birds that sing spontaneously.

Happiness is kept in small simple things

counting stars around de moon

and then slowly see memories float by.

Losing a child or loved one floats

with a lot of intense sadness.

Talking about it, over thinking it's  goodbye 

thinking of all the nice memories

from that one person leaving us behind

You can shut yourself out or lose yourself

leaving it behind, thinking it doesn't show.

It's better to give your grieve a place

for your life is still there to face...

With my bare feet I am standing in the grass,

I'm standing unnoticed being happy

thinking about how my life was

knowing it was good

my life doesn't hurt.

Relieved that this may happen

touched and silently enjoying it all

I taste your approval

know your plan satisfies

and is as it should be.

I stretch my hands to the above

knowing that I should believe in myself

I leave misery behind me

This life is created for me

I can continue my life in this stage.

I learn, invest, achieve and share with others

I fall, stand up and bump my nose to go on again

My life teaches me to live in this environment

which we can change

in a live-able part for you and me.

It’s been one year now, since our little brother has died in a car crash. A fatal crash, a drunk person, driving on the wrong side of the highway, he was killed instantly. A boy of almost 25 years old, full of life and ambitions, with a huge group of friends and family, a very beloved person! Sometimes life can be very unfair…

Inmiddels een jaar geleden is ons broertje Dennis van Metelen, op de A1 aangereden door een dronken spookrijdster en is daarbij opslag overleden. Een jongen van bijna 25 jaar, vol van levenslust en ambities, midden in het leven, met een enorme kring van vrienden en familie die hem lief hadden om zich heen. Wat kan het leven toch oneerlijk zijn….
